Why use the Carton Flow Rack ?
Carton flow racking is a FIFO (First-In, First-Out) system designed for high-volume case picking and piece picking applications, offering excellent space utilization. These racks can be customized to fit various rack sizes, functioning as stand-alone systems or integrated with different types of pallet racking.
The system consists of uprights, beams, and inclined lanes with rollers or wheels that allow cartons to glide from the loading aisle at the back to the picking aisle at the front. When the front carton is picked, the next carton automatically moves into position, ensuring a continuous flow of inventory.
Carton flow racks can be equipped with three roller styles to accommodate different carton sizes: full bed polycarbonate wheels, full-width steel rollers, and full-width polycarbonate wheels. Additional accessories include guides for creating individual lanes and tilt trays at the discharge end, providing easy access to the top of cases or totes for piece-picking.
